There has been a lot of shake up in the Power Rankings since they came out back on the second week. Some teams have seen a nice climb, like the Detroit Pistons moving all the way up from the number 18 spot into the Top 5 with the addition of a solid front court and veteran guard play. Other teams like the Brooklyn Nets had a successful team at the beginning of the season, but chose to go in a different direction and build a young team that fit the mold of their owner more than that of the win-now real life Nets. The Thunder are still leading the league with the solid mix of veteran role play and the solid foundation of youth they are known for. The strongest division so far has to be the Southwestern Division with San Antonio, Dallas, and New Orleans in the top 6 teams separated by only 3.5 games. The next strongest division would be the Central Division with Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago all in the top 10 separated by 6 games. That might be a fight for that division lead with LeBron now playing for the Bulls and the strong team play of the Cavaliers. There is also a fight at the bottom end of the bracket for the next group of superstars to come out in the draft. Denver has fought his way to the bottom of the west, but "the east is going to be tough to get through". The bottom 10 teams are only separated by 9.5 games. Philadelphia is hanging on to that bottom spot by only a game and a half. How will the rest of the season turn out? Will we see any major moves before the trade deadline that could shake things up in the Power Rankings?
