Dear F5 GMs,
First off, I'd like to apologize for the recent anarchy around here. I'm still learning how to manage a league as I go along, so this first season may be a little rough. With that being said, I think things are looking up, and with your continual support, I truly believe we can make this league great.
Injuries:
While I was away this weekend, I invested heavily in Russian horse placenta futures, and cashed out on my positions today. I have injected these placentas directly into the bloodstream of Samuel Dalembert, David West, LeBron James, and Dennis Schroeder. I was going to inject the placenta into Nikola Vucevic as well, but he insisted on having it instead as a side dish to his dinner. With that being said, all of these players are now 100% healthy in-game and ready for action. I apologize deeply to all of those teams affected, and feel that we almost need to asterisk these first two days of sims. Dealing with injuries was my first major blunder as a Commissioner.
We will no longer be using injuries this season in F5. The nature of Ian's rolling injuries in D5 doesn't really work here since we operate primarily during the offseason. The in-game injuries are just too much of a hassle for me, as a first time simmer, to deal with. We may eventually implement some sort of policy in the future, but as of now, we have too many horse placentas for anyone to be injured this season.
Depth Charts:
I understand that depth charts are very important to you all as a GM, and I very much apologize for any mistakes that have occurred in them. With injuries off, I think they will be much easier for me to deal with. I am going to try my very best each and every sim to put enough quality and time into the results that no further mistakes will happen. I'm still figuring out the game and how to position everyone so they actually start where you want them, but I am hoping this will not be a problem going forward.
League Salary Database:
I believe the LSD is correct at this point, but I have had some trouble updating it recently. It would be hepful to me if everyone could check your roster to make sure the correct players are on your team.
Rating Changes:
I haven't sorted through the "When to Implement Rating Changes" thread yet, but I can see that it has a lot of discussion. I still need to think through a lot of things regarding the timing of our league- it is peculiar because we are operating primarily during the NBA's offseason. I will likely discuss this with Ian, and I hope to have an answer regarding the questions in that thread in the near future.
Overall, I want to thank everyone for being so active. I'm willing to commit a lot to this league, and I'm glad to see that you all are as well. Hopefully this clears some things up regarding some recent issues in the league, but please feel free to continue expressing your opinions on every issue! Thanks
